My Hosted Exchange New Zealand Reseller Portal Update

July 29th, 2010

Our team are working on a new reseller portal system where valued resellers can logon and manage all aspects of customer mailboxes.

There’s a great deal of effort involved in this project, and we’ve also asked for your input, which to date has been great!

In fact, the response for features and usability options has been huge – with over 200 feature and functionality requests now being worked on. You can still have your say on future updates via the Contact Us page – here.

Whilst our portal is being built, we’re still providing the same great customer and technical support service, so if your business can benefit from reselling a premium Hosted Microsoft Exchange service (without the premium price and overseas call centre) sign-up for our reseller program – here.

Sol Maria sets sail for the Pacific and Australia

May 11th, 2010

I don’t often talk about family online, but this is something really special I wanted to share with our team and customers.

My family is setting sail aboard the Sol Maria, a Bahia Catamaran, from New Zealand to the Pacific then across to Australia and back to Tairua.

She’s a fantastic vessel, with 4 sleeping berths, living area, fully equipped kitchen and outside deck that’s just made for leisure.

Sol Maria sailed across from Numea in November 2009, prepared for it’s journey during April 2010, and has just set sail from New Zealand’s Bay of Islands for Tonga.

Lica, Gavin and Shae are onboard, along with Deide and Paul who are guests for the New Zealand to Tonga leg of the expedition, so no doubt they are having an absolute ball sailing, fishing and unwinding in beautiful surrounds with some of the clearest water you will ever see.

We’ve put together a website with journal so the Sol Maria crew can keep you posted on their journey abroad, which will trace Tonga to Australia and back to Aotearoa again.

Take a look at www.solmaria.co.nz.

I was lucky enough to spend some time sailing with Gavin and Deide from Half Moon Bay in Auckland down to Mercury Bay and onwards to our second home in Tairua during April, and I enjoyed every last minute of the trip fishing, drinking, eating and seeing some of the best scenery I have witnessed on the ocean.

I may have been a little ’sea green’ on the first day, but once I got over my internet withdrawals, the trip was sweet as.

Catching snapper and tuna for dinner is a real treat, cooking on the boat’s BBQ was something a little different, but very rewarding.

Follow their journey along with us, visit the journal website at www.solmaria.co.nz and enjoy.

Cheers,

Darren

The Great Mobile Phone Test with MyHostedExchange.co.nz

February 24th, 2010

Hi, Darren here from My Hosted Exchange New Zealand.

There has been a great deal of “comment” and opinion regarding the performance of Apple’s new iPhone 3Gs, so we’ve decided to put this handset to the test – on a road trip around New Zealand.

We’ve also experienced an increase in the number of Nokia e75 handsets joining our Hosted Microsoft Exchange service, so we thought we’d take this handset along for the ride and put it to the test.

There’s a bunch of objectives for this test, we won’t bore you with the detail, essentially we are out to test how these mobile phones perform overall as an internet access device both surfing the web and accessing Hosted Microsoft Exchange from our platform at www.MyHostedExchange.co.nz.

In addition, as our country has a diverse (challenging) landscape, we’re putting these handsets to the test under marginal and poor signal reception areas in an attempt to stretch the tolerance capability whilst downloading internet content and sending/receiving emails on the move.

The test is based on our team of engineers travelling around New Zealand, with each phone containing a SIM for Telecom and Vodafone.

Our staff are reasonably intimate with web surfing and accessing emails, so who better than to give these phones a good workout.

The first leg of our testing starts in my favourite town, Tairua. Then, Whitianga and down to Tauranga before reaching Wellington before Friday 26th February.

Stay tuned for our junkett… I mean, tour of the south.

The timing of our tour is a little scary, and we were thinking of postponing after Telecom announced further issues on the XT network earlier this week, however they have managed to resolve the outage issue and Gen-i assures us the network is fully operational in all the areas we are visiting.

Yes, it’s informal, and maybe even a little comical at times, so join us for a little fun and some information along the way for two of New Zealand’s leading handsets, the Apple iPhone 3Gs and Nokia’s e75.

Best,

Darren Moss
